I’ve just been taking photos of my computer screen and using Google lens. It’s a pain, because I can’t look at rawkuma on my phone ;_; I’ll definitely try this so I can just use my computer :D
And thanks for the other translation websites, that’s very helpful!
By the way, if anyone has an android phone (it should work on iPhone too I believe, just maybe with an extra step to open the google lens app) you can use Google lens to select words in an image and then you’ll automatically be given the option to translate it. It’s great for when you’re on the go.
This is from a listener named “Mofu-san”. Thank you very much.
“Hello, Nobunaga-san and staff! This is my first time writing in to a radio show.”
Thank you! There’s really so many people writing in for the first time. That’s great. But I’m sorry that we can only read member mails. But I’m glad you’re listening.
“The other day the free 10th anniversary main visual was revealed.”
That’s right. They’re holding a 10th anniversary event for the very successful Free series that was the first work I appeared in. It was the main visual for that. All of the characters were lined up in new outfits. They released a main visual like that.
“I was wondering something about it. It’s about the design of Matsuoka Rin’s pants.
They have a unique design of a row of flowers on the inside of the leg and it became a hot topic because they look exactly like the pants that you wore at the Jump Fest last December. Did you notice this? I don’t know if they were clothes you picked out yourself or if they provide them for you, but if possible, could you tell us a behind the scenes story about how you came to acquire those pants?”
Hey, Rin! I told you not to wear those in public! If we wear the same clothes people will find out!
People will find out we live together, Rin!
If we share clothes they’ll find out!
Like it’s nothing special
I’m happy about it. That Rin would wear something similar to me. It’s great.
Now, was it a coincidence? Was it on purpose? Was it fate? Was it an accident? Or what?
Well, I don’t know… Hmm… Please look forward to the Free 10th anniversary!
No, No! I’m just saying stuff!
I don’t know if that answer will come up! Or my outfit from the Jump fest in December but if the topic comes up we might talk about it but we also might not!
Powerful statements like these, that juxtapose the condemnation of such a simple and pure thing as love with the honour and worship of violence and death, always hit me hard and stay with me for days
This is the tombstone of Technical Sergeant Leonard Philip Matlovich, the first gay service member to intentionally out himself in order to fight the ban on gay people in the military. He hadn’t only served for Vietnam, he was a career Air Force member in good standing who would have liked to continue his career even though he knew coming out would most likely make that impossible.
He’d also been an elder in the LDS church but was excommunicated
He was on the cover of Time magazine in 1975 which was the first time an openly gay person appeared on the cover of a U.S. magazine and had their name printed in that magazine
He was an advocate for AIDs/HIV patients from the start of the outbreak in the 70s. He contracted the virus in 1986 and died 2 years later
His name doesn’t appear on his tombstone because he wanted it to be a memorial for all gay veterans
here’s the King himself
and here’s his grave in its full glory, with the pink triangles and everything! the words over the dates of his birth and death are referencing the extermination of lgbt people during the holocaust and the HIV crisis, respectively.
